GREAT CHARLES The State Russian Museum presented a grand exhibition "The Great Karl. On the 225th Anniversary of K.P. Bryullov's Birth" in the Mikhailovsky Palace. The exhibition, unique in its scale, brought together more than 300 works by the brilliant master of world culture. The central exhibit of the exhibition was the most famous painting - "The Last Day of Pompeii". With the help of special false floors, viewers were offered an ascent from the halls with Bryullov's early works to the artist's later works. In this way, the exhibition architect sought to create a metaphor for Bryullov reaching the top and then descending - as an image of the artist's premature death at the age of 52. In addition, the high floor brought the paintings and graphics closer to the public, allowing them to view the canvases at arm's length. EG Production designed and built the exhibition, including the construction of 2-meter podiums, structures and pavilions for the works, as well as the design of the museum halls.
